The Earth Child’s Handbook: Book 2, by Brigid Ashwood

Have you checked out our give away of this book and its companion? It ends next week!

As I mentioned in my review of Book 1, I was really looking forward to seeing Brigid’s books, because I’ve loved her artwork for a long time.

This book covers the seasons, the Wheel of the Year, and the Sabbats. As in Book 1, there are crafts, recipes, and things to learn, along with word searches and mazes. Art projects that need to be cut out are only printed on one side, which is very helpful.

There are fewer projects in this book – instead, it includes blank pages for notes, which is helpful if you’re using this book from year to year to plan holiday celebrations.

Each Sabbat has a section on building a seasonal altar for the holiday and a seasonal ritual to go with it. For many families this would be a great way to start teaching your children about the changing seasons and the holidays themselves.

All in all, a great book for families to explore the Sabbats together.

Disclaimer: I purchased these books. Books for the giveaway were provided by the author. All opinions are my own.
