Isi’s Magic, by Dreena Marten

This is a very cute book for younger children. It’s short, but that’s typical of  lot of picture books.

The main theme of the book is that while Isi is a witch, she’s not at all like most stereotypical Halloween witches. She doesn’t ride a broom, and she has hot chocolate in her cauldron. Nothing at all scary here!  Besides the fact that little ones will love the  back and forth of the book, the idea that a witch can be fun and good is one that it might not be a bad thing to teach kids before others try to tell them otherwise.

Note that as of this writing, the book is unavailable on amazon.com, but is available on amazon.co.uk.  The author is working with her publisher to get that corrected ASAP.

I was gifted a PDF of this book for the review. All opinions are my own.
